Miss Universe 2007 : Riyo Mori

Riyo Mori (森 理 世 Riyo Mori?) Was born December 24, 1986 in Aoi-ku, Shizuoka, Japan is a ballet dancer and dance instructor Japanese nationals. He bears the title of Miss Universe since May 29, 2007

Biography

Thanks to the influence of her mother who has a dance class, Mori childhood ambition as a dancer. Riyo Mori, a dancer since age 4 tahun.Ia study in Quinte Ballet School of Canada and the Centennial Secondary School in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.




He was the first Asian woman to win the title since 2000 after Miss India Lara Dutta who won the same award. He also appeared as the second woman after Akiko Kojima of Japan who won the title of Miss Universe 1959, as the first.

Mori is the first Japanese person who passed the entrance exam intensive summer program of dance group The Rockettes (The Rockettes Summer Intensive). Mori is a graduate of Quinte Ballet School Ballet School of Canada, and Centennial high schools Secondary School in Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

Miss Universe 2007

Mori was chosen to represent Japan in Miss Universe contest in Mexico, and won the Miss Universe title after setting aside the rival Miss Brazil, Venezuela, Korea, and the United States. Riyo Mori is the second Miss Universe from Japan after Akiko Kojima won the same title in 1959. At the 2006 Miss Universe contest, co-countrymen from Japan, Kurara Chibana won the runner-up position.
